Conlith McKinley
Co-Founder, Sales & Marketing
Conlith is a qualified Quantity Surveyor, and that training is where his approach took shape. Working on site and on the numbers, he saw first-hand that sloppy systems cost a business time and money, and that discipline is what protects margin.
His route there was not a conventional one. He grew up on a farm and moved into construction through school, working in concrete, shuttering and groundworks before qualifying. That grounding gave him a practical understanding of how operational businesses actually run, from the ground up.
That principle has defined how he works ever since. He learned to turn problems into repeatable process, building simple, reliable systems that hold up under pressure. Resilience and discipline, rather than luck, are what carried him through.
He went on to work in front-line commercial roles with larger organisations, representing their brand, winning and closing deals and driving revenue, while gaining a close view of how those businesses run behind the scenes: how approvals move, where handoffs break down, what procurement genuinely needs and why teams either win or stall. That combination of practical delivery and commercial understanding led him to a clear conclusion. Strong results come from clean systems, clear numbers and the right people.
It is the reason he co-founded Kakion. Not automation for a quick win, but custom systems built around how a service business actually operates. Removing bottlenecks, improving the quality of conversations with real buyers and giving owners back what matters most: their time, calmer operations, stronger teams and healthier numbers. Alongside that, connecting businesses with the right clients so they can grow and build lasting relationships.
